A Program for NAMA Members
Building Your
Company’s Profitability
A basic program
for increasing profitability
In tough economic times survival can depend
upon your ability to use your current resources to turn greater
profits. Often, the best opportunity that you have lies in your
current work force. You’re already spending the money to employ
your people. Are you making the best return on your investment?
NAMA is offering a program to help you
deploy your people to best advantage. The course will give you
the tools you need to minimize employee mistakes, to improve the
skills of your employees, to improve their decision making as
they do their daily work, to improve their judgment in ways that
reduce waste, and other behaviors that hurt your profitability.
This program will teach you the skills to be a better coach for
your people and a savvier leader of your business. The focus
will be on immediate actions that you can take to improve the
profitability of your company.
NAMA is working with Dr. Dan Elash, a
Knowledge Source provider, to teach you the basic business
skills you can use to enable your people to better carry out
your business plan. Dr. Elash has taught these skills to
thousands of business owners and operators over the last 30
years. The program is a no-nonsense, practical approach for
achieving more profits from the work that your people are doing
day in and day out. The secret lies not so much in what you do,
but in how you do it.
A basic program
for increasing profitability
There are four steps in this program:
Step one involves a one hour
interview with you and/or your operations manager to assess the
specific issues, challenges and opportunities in your unique
circumstances. We’ll identify opportunities for building your
brand, working more productively, and improving your profits,
and becoming tougher competitors.
Step two involves three one hour
training session over several weeks to teach you the secrets of
successful business leaders for running profitable companies.
There will be assigned readings between sessions and a
freewheeling give and take between you and/or your operations
manager and Dr. Elash to ensure that the classes address your
real-time business issues.
Step three involves a practice
assignment where you are guided to apply the lessons you’ve
learned to a problem that is giving you fits. You’ll discuss
your efforts and get direction and feedback from Dr. Elash.
Step four has us review your
progress during an hour long wrap up session, and leaves you
with a tailored prescription of building on the skills you’ve
learned as you take your business forward. You will take away
some easy to use tools for continuing to build your skills.
